At this website we introduce Open Door Foundation Amsterdam. It's an organization 'with a listening ear'. Especially for (ex)asylumseekers, migrants and 'newcomers' in Amsterdam.  

Listening to your story we try to assist you and guide you through the difficulties your are facing.

Open Door Foundation is focussing on issues like:

- the rights of gay and lesbian people to have a save place on earth. If you have fear of being discriminated, persecuted of emprisoned in your own country, you should have the right to ask protection in the Netherlands.

- a safe place for people who have been severely traumatized in their country of origin, being victims of (civil) war.

- a focuspoint for empowerment of those 'newcomers', who have not been able to fully integrate in the Dutch society. It could be a civilian to civilian initiative, in which succesful migrants and refuguees can become 'peers' to those ones who have been less succesful.
